Our Rubicon Story

I spent most of my 20s building a 3rd generation Toyota Tacoma with  Donahoe Racing (now Icon Vehicle Dynamics) and a 2010 FJ Cruiser XJ10 with King Off-road.

Then Jeep life started in 2014 when Athena and I purchased our first Rubicon.

In 2016 we had our first born, Apollo, and therefore sold the JK "Rubi" because we felt a 4-door was necessary. In 2018 we had our second born, Aluna, and it closed the deal that we needed a 4-door :)
Lucky for us... the JL was born with a slightly refreshed exterior but a big interior overhaul. I spent day and night scraping the internet auto listings for a particular Sting Gray Rubicon with no LED lighting package (knew I was going to do something custom). Through persistence and pure luck, I found a Sting Gray transfer from Glendora to Huntington Beach Jeep 10 minutes before HB was closing for the night. Called HB Jeep and they were not even aware of the transfer.
The next morning I was first in line to test drive the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited Rubicon Sting Gray and knew it was ours. This is our 2nd Jeep purchased at Huntington Beach Jeep (great dealership and competitive pricing).

In year 1, I knew we did not have the means to go crazy on a custom build so my plan was to make this into a project for the family. To make this a reality, we started with getting Apollo excited by taking him on trips to Pismo Beach, Calico, and local trails. This one year old was already taking awesome adventures and we were thrilled that he enjoyed it so much.

This hobby, passion, and business is a medium to remember and focus on building and doing what we truly love no matter what lies ahead. Building custom automobiles, ecommerce websites, operational infrastructures, and innovating business strategies with others is what we do. It pays the bills and most importantly gives us the ability to share our experiences and time with the ones we love.
As the greatest all-time Laker Kobe Bryant once said, "The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do."
